Google has finally launched an Adwords management app for Android today. It is the first time Google has launched an app for monitoring Adwords. The app, available from the Google play store, monitors vital metrics via a dashboard. It shows impressions, clicks, CTR, cost and conversions if set up. You can explore metrics further by Adgroup, day of the week and device. Yu can also do some PPC management such as updating bids and budgets. It also gives you campaign suggestions which you can activate through the app. The Adwords app is available from the app store for devices using Android 4.0 or later. An IOS version is in development.
Search terms report are useful for letting you know what keywords searchers used to trigger your advert but it does not tell you which bidding keyword was used. Google’s new report has added a “Keyword” column that allows you to see the exact bid keyword that matched the searchers query in order to trigger your advert. It is part of a customisation you can make in adding new columns under the search terms report.
Seeing the matched keyword is useful in giving you information to make certain decisions like adjust the keyword, add negative keywords to the campaign/adroup, adjust ads/bids or even relevant landing pages.
